AIRPORT FACILITIES

As an airport designed with international standard, the New Bacolod-Silay Airport provides first class facilities to the traveling passengers.

The terminal is also equipped with flight information display system, mechanized baggage handling system for both inbound and outbound baggage, security X-ray machines upon check-in and at the pre-departure area, elevator and escalator and a parking area for 350 cars.

Check-in counter

For the convenience of travelers check-in counter open 3 hours prior to the estimated time of departure. Each airlines have 2-3 check-in counters to speed up the check-in process. The check-in counter is located at the ground floor of the departure area.

Pre-departure area

A spacious pre-departure is located at the second floor of the airport terminal and provide passengers a perfect view of Mt. Silay. From the pre-departure area passengers also have access to the airport roof deck where another café is located.

Café area

A wide selection of food is also available at the café area within the pre-departure area.

Information Counter

First timers will sure not get lost at the New Bacolod-Silay Airport upon arrival. Greeters and tourism officers are available at the arrival area to assist passengers upon arrival.

For tourist and backpackers who wish to make a tour around the province, information can also be obtained at the information counter.

Auto Teller Machine (ATM)

If you running low on cash, just make your way to one of the ATM terminal available just outside the pre-departure area. ATM machines accepts Bancnet, Express Net and Megalink cards. Foreigners may also transact at the ATM terminal using their Visa Card, Visa Electron, Maestro and Cirrus cards.

HOW TO GET TO THE AIRPORT

The airport is accessible thru private and public transportation from Bacolod.

From Bacolod, you may board an airport shuttle for Php 100.00 to Php 150.00. Shuttle service is available at SM South terminal and Robinsons mall.

Nyala Travel and Tours, the official partner of Hotel and Restaurants Association in Negros Occidental, also provide shuttle for Php 150.00. Pick-up points are at Magsaysay-Lacson Sts (near Luxur Place) and at Caltex Lopues East.

Travelers can also rent-a-car or a cab going to the airport. Fare is at Php 500.00.

For those who love to make some adventures, you can take a Bacolod-Silay jeepney and disembark at Silay National High School and take a shuttle to the airport for only Php 50.00. Jeppeney fare on the other hand is only Php 7.00.
